About Cariad Mortgage Solutions

I am Beth Thomas, founder of Cariad Mortgage Solutions.

I launched Cariad because I believe mortgage advice should feel less like a financial transaction and more like a conversation with someone who genuinely cares about your future.

My background in psychology and counselling has shaped the way I work with clients. I understand that navigating the mortgage process can feel overwhelming, especially if you are a first time buyer, self employed, moving home, remortgaging, or have faced credit challenges in the past.

My approach is simple. I listen first, explain clearly, and guide you with patience, honesty and without judgement.

Cariad is the Welsh word for love, and love is at the heart of everything this business stands for. Love for the communities we serve across Swansea, South Wales and beyond. Love for helping families find their home. Love for giving people confidence when they feel unsure. Love for doing this work properly, with your best interests always at the centre.

I am a qualified mortgage and protection adviser, holding CeMAP and CeRER qualifications, with over a decade of experience helping clients understand their mortgage and protection options. Over the years, I have supported first time buyers, home movers, self employed clients, landlords, families, clients with credit challenges and people later in life looking at their options.

Outside of Cariad, I am also a proud trustee of Faith in Families, a Swansea charity that supports children, families and communities across the local area. Giving back is a huge part of who I am, and I am proud to support charities and causes that make a real difference.

As part of my charity work, I have taken on major challenges, including trekking 100km across the Wadi Rum Desert in Jordan in 2023, 100km across the Sahara Desert in 2024, and completing the Mardi Himal Base Camp trek in Nepal in 2025.

These experiences have shaped me personally and professionally. They have taught me resilience, determination and the importance of showing up for people, even when things feel difficult.
